Many times we tend to shrink back from change because it seems that we cannot maintain control.  To stay within the security of what we know and are familiar with seems safer.  This post discusses three things that can inspire change.

However, in any area of our lives, whether it’s with health, relationships, money or learning new skills, if we are to grow…it means change.

Napoleon Hill, in his classic book, Think and Grow Rich, writes…”Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.” 

“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning.”  Benjamin Franklin

We live in a world with endless opportunity to move from one state of being to another.

Inspiration for change are offered to us from friends, in our work situations, in our social groups.  In our spiritual walk there is a constant flow towards change.  Our lives, our contribution, our sense of well being comes when we know that we are not stuck in a place of sameness.

Think of the picture of the inquisitive child always exploring his world around him and learning new skills at the cost of tumbles and fails.   Never do we think of curbing that drive to change and grow.

As adults, we should take on the childlike nature, trusting our intellect, and intuition to take us places we’ve never been before. Looking for ways to be inspired for change.

First Receive Inspiration From…

People who walk the journey that you seek can be your inspiration. Especially if you are looking for someone to mentor you, to coach you…you are evaluating their results.  You examine their results to see whether or not change you are seeking is possible. You are measuring their ability to affect change in your life because they have proven results.

We get inspiration from the examples that others set in their lives and business practice.  We in turn can be an inspiration for change.

Second Seek A Group Culture

Write Out an Action Plan

Choosing the daily habits that will affect change in your life, in your health, in your business.  We sometimes fall into the false thinking that:

  • unless we spend a lot of money
  • unless we make sweeping changes in our lives
  • unless our goals are far reaching
  • unless we have the consensus of everyone around us

then change does not happen.

That does not serve us well…it is not true.  What is true is that making small, actionable changes that are relevant, that can be accomplished in a short period of time compounding to create significant change in our lives.  The kind of change that inspires other bigger shifts in your own life and also in others.
